On Friday, I checked my e-mail to find a long anticipated interview invitation from Rocky Vista University in Colorado. Due to an error in my application, I found myself about two months behind in their interview schedule. They gave me the option to interview the first week in December. When I called to confirm my interview date, they told me the first few were already taken - HOWEVER, someone had just canceled for Monday. Yes, three days later! I jumped at the opportunity and Carly and I were "on the road again" 24 hours later. One fine detail - we never told Patti! We called Carly's Dad to share the news, but decided to make it a surprise for Carly's Mom, who had been missing us terribly.
This was the beautiful face that greeted us 7 hours later when we knocked on the Marinos' front door.
Patti was shocked. John was ecstatic.
The surprise was a success. As was the interview.
