Husband: Updated

Jordan is known for messing up common expressions. They are usually very similar or even just synonyms of the real thing. He says "rock's throw away" instead of "stone's throw" or "point and case" instead of "case in point." I think it's one of his cutest qualities. Well this was our dialogue last night:

Jordan: I am so happy for spring break that I've had a little skip in my walk all day.
Carly: Seriously, I'm so happy, too. And did you mean "spring in my step?"
J: Yes. Shut up.
C: No! I'm sorry, I just LOVE it when you make up your own expressions!
J: Grab my hand.
C: No. I know you too well. You're gonna do something.
J: What am I going to do?
C: I don't know.
J: But you say you know me so well.
C: I do. You'll probably fart or something.
J: No, that's "pull my finger." I know THAT phrase.
C: Oh. I wasn't sure if you did.

Last night we were exchanging some sort of snarky banter and Jordan said, "Ha! Stabbed you where you're wounded!" And I said, "you mean you 'hit me where it hurts?' " Point and Case.
