Four loads of laundry washed, dried, and folded in an hour and a half.
It is also a bit of an adventure.
Sometimes we leave with more than we brought.
Jordan was getting dressed the other day
and distraughtly exclaimed,
"This is NOT my underwear!"
Alas, he is a man, and he still wore it.
So today I purged my life of a HUGE pile of clothes. I am so happy. I look at my drawers and closet and see only things that I like to wear. Nothing I wish I could still wear, nothing so old and special that I can't part with, nothing worn out or stained. I feel a burden lifted. But now... I have hardly any clothes. I have worn them so thin that I have nothing left. I have a hard time spending money on clothes for some reason. I like looking and feeling good, but I don't like putting my hard earned money toward fashion. It may be a blessing. I think if I got too comfortable with it, it would turn into an unhealthy hobby and I would buy more than I need. Point is, I am going to have to buy new clothes whether I like it or not. I must be just psyching myself out for it or something.
Sometimes I wonder how you wash your clothes.
ReplyDeleteSeeing as your laundry detergent is still at my house. Jordan is SO good at that ;)
WHAT?!? You can have more than one container at a time? WHO KNEW?!?
You can "mooch" off us anytime--'specially since it usually means a night out for us :D :D :D
Oh my goodness...Amen to everything you said in this post! HAHA. I so would like our own washer and dryer. That would be soooo nice! & I don't like buying clothes for me either...for baby on the other hand I could go crazy! haha! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one good thing to going to a laundry mat, you can get multiple loads done at once. We had our own washer and dryer, and our dryer died, so now we dry with a clothes line, which I actually kind of like.
ReplyDeleteI just read back forever on your blog and saw that your husband is going to med school! I assume that you guys graduated from BYU since you mentioned living in Provo. My husband is currently at the SLC center and is doing Pre-med as well as accounting! Any advice on premed classes?
ReplyDeleteHahah! Oh my gosh. Jordan is a funny man.
ReplyDeleteIt's the curse of the marinos women to want clothes and never buy them. We all have the illness...it's about time you accept it too....I blame mom.
