We built Scarlett a "big girl bed" this fall. It's not finished. I want to glaze it or something because it's a little too stark white for me. I want to soften it and highlight the carpentry, but that will have to wait till spring. Also, the day before Sylvi came, I made the crib skirt and mobile. I was again able to use scrap fabric we still have from our wedding. I love that our wedding theme has become the theme of our little girls' room. And I also love that we already paid for the fabric. I have some fun ideas for the blank walls, but I will save those for January when the holidays are over and winter is bleak. Until then, we are doing a lot of snuggling around here. It doesn't get much better than this.

ReplyDeleteOhhhh gasp! I am soooo in love with that bedskirt, the bedding the mobile...every last piece! I seriously gasped when i saw the bedskirt on facebook! Let's talk decorating when you come! You have to come over to my friend's house who has her entire house is like this! And she has money so it's sooo inspiring! My creative juices gush whenever I go there!!!
