Insights: The Deep and The Shallow

So pillow talk last night was about God and how He knows everything. We were talking about what it would be like to know everything in the past and to know everything in the future. Then today I just so happened to be reading
"These Are Your Days" by Neal A. Maxwell, and he quoted Joseph Smith who said,

"The great Jehovah contemplated the whole of the events connected with the earth, pertaining to the plan of salvation, before it rolled into existence, or ever ‘the morning stars sang together’ for joy. … He knew … of the depth of iniquity that would be connected with the human family, their weakness and strength, their power and glory, apostasies, their crimes, their righteousness and iniquity; … He was acquainted with the situation of all nations and with their destiny; … He knows the situation of both the living and the dead, and has made ample provision for their redemption.”

Then I had a thought that I've never had before. I have never had a doubt that God is literally all knowing, but I never took His knowledge passed judgment day. I believe God knows from beginning to end, but I somehow forgot that there is no end. He knows what we will be doing after this life as well. He knows what we will be doing FOREVER because He will always be our God. When we are creators and learners, He will still be all knowing of our futures, and eventually, so will we. I shared this insight with Jordan and this was his response:

"Wow, well...I guess that means no more surprises. You better enjoy them here while you can. Hey. I'm going to start popping out and scaring you more often."

Jordan tells me probably every other day that he had the perfect opportunity to scare me, but that he didn't, so I should be proud of him. I have a feeling I won't be proud of him anymore. Even still, I have the cutest husband in the world, and I'm excited to spend forever with him.
