I'll be saying that thousands of times over the next couple of years. I am so grateful I got a job!!! What am I saying...WE are so grateful. We were kind of in panic mode as our finances combined and we realized that getting married is expensive. We had been waiting for weeks to hear back from Olive Garden and just as I was deciding to give up and go home for the duration of my unmarried life, I got a call and I got a job! I had training all last week and I LOVE this job. After working for my dad's catering business for so long, I feel right at home as a server. I didn't know I could like working so much. All the other jobs I've had have been kinda miserable, but I am having a blast. Part of my training is trying every entree, appetizer, and beverage (don't worry, they let us just smell the wines and make virgin specialty drinks). So much for wanting to lose a few pre-wedding pounds =) It's been really fun and YOU benefit, as well! I can get 25% off for friends and family at Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Bahama Breeze! I also get the same discount at three other places, but I haven't heard of them and they're not in Utah or Colorado so...yeah.
Thanks for all those who prayed I would find a job! This really has been a huge blessing.
Aaahhh...salad and breadsticks? Need I say more? I will be using that discount!
ReplyDeleteAh, so fun! Andy and I both worked at Olive Garden when we first got married. Forget the salad- go straight for the alfredo dipping sauce!
ReplyDeleteAre you at the Provo store? Andy worked there for a while....
I'm so going to come visit you because I imagine you will be the cutest, perkiest server there! :) Yay!
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean you won't be here this weekend when Jill R. comes to town?! We were hoping for a good ol' days reunion. Ah, crap. Oh well, I'm still happy for you. Sorta.
