She isn't without her quirks, though. She had her days and nights switched for the first two months of her life and she slept in the swing the first five. She still doesn't sleep through the night, but she has always been such an incredible napper that I feel like I need to count my blessings. She also wasn't gaining any weight her first couple months because she projectile-vomited everything she ate. We never quite found out why, but that cleared up on its own and she chubbed right up.
I think my favorite thing about Sarah is that she is never in a rush. Her milestones were later than my other girls, but I think it's because she isn't nearly as anxious to grow up. She actually reminds me of Jordan--very present, very content.
My other favorite thing is she is obsessed with me. Scarlett and Sylvia seemed to like me and Jordan the same, but Sarah LOVES ME THE MOST.
Other things she loves:
The vacuum. She seriously tries to ride it whenever it's on.
The stairs. She is a pro going up and down and up and down.
All the food. All of it.
Climbing on stools and getting stuck up there.
Emptying the trash into the toilet.
Splashing in the toilet.
Books. Although she is getting impatient and has to turn the pages before I'm done.
Pointing and smiling at her dad when he walks in the door.
Nursing. My other babies loved nursing for the food. Sarah loves nursing for the comfort. Weaning her is going to be interesting. In fact, she nurses like a lamb. I cradle her and then she flips herself over and stands on my belly and nurses. It's like she knows that Little Lamb has been her nickname since before she was born.
She can say "mama," "dada," "nana" (nigh night), and I'm pretty sure she says "this."
She screams like no child I have ever heard. For the happiest baby ever, she is also the most opinionated. Her fifth tooth just barely broke through and she took her first steps about three weeks ago. I wish I could capture the pride in her eyes when she stands herself up in the middle of the floor unassisted. She gives the sloppiest, most sincere kisses and I love her, I love her, I love her.
