Miss Independent

One year. A whole year. I can't believe it.

It's like she knows she's one. She has developed some serious opinions since it happened. She already insists on doing everything herself, especially while in motion, like walking around spilling and drinking out of a cup, or walking around feeding herself out of a bowl or walking around barefoot on the cement because she refuses to wear shoes. Oddly enough she loves our shoes. I find shoes stuffed in my nightstand or in my cosmetics box. She also brings me my flip-flops when she wants to go outside. She loves outside. One day she realized that outside was way better than inside and she's been obsessed ever since. The moment she wakes up, she points to the door. Pointing. That's a welcome development. It's nice being able to communicate a little better with her. She also knows a few more words now: daddy, mama, yes, and this. She brings me everything she can reach and says, "This?" It's the cutest thing. Almost as cute as when she fake laughs when we're laughing because she knows something is funny. And most importantly, she still dances her little heart out.

I love her. I love her. I love her.
